Mission 1: Fall Prevention,enable Seniors to Stay Active and Safe at Home Using SmartGait
SmartGait enables seniors and mobility-impaired individuals to perform clinically meaningful gait assessment safely at home using smart insoles and a lightweight VR system. By allowing users to walk in place in a controlled virtual environment, SmartGait eliminates the burden, risk, and cost of frequent clinic visits. This supports aging in place while maintaining continuous mobility monitoring.
Mission 2: Provide Personalized Daily Gait Reports for Longitudinal Tracking
SmartGait transforms daily gait data into personalized, easy-to-understand reports that track balance, symmetry, and mobility trends over time. These customized insights help patients and families recognize early changes that would be missed by occasional assessments. Longitudinal reporting promotes engagement, accountability, and early awareness.
Mission 3: Use AI to Support Doctors with Actionable Gait Analysis
SmartGait uses AI to analyze continuous gait data and identify early warning signs of fall risk and mobility decline. The system generates clinician-ready reports that highlight meaningful changes relative to each patient’s baseline. This allows doctors to intervene earlier using real-world, long-term data rather than isolated clinic snapshots.
